We’ve worked with LDA Design for many years now, having previously re-fitted their Peterborough, Glasgow and Exeter offices. So, when the time came for them to open a new location in Cambridge, they approached us once again.
Aims
The company wanted an ‘industrial’ feel for its new office – something simple yet contemporary. They wanted dark-coloured desk tops, too, along with designer office chairs to add a touch of refinement to the space. We were happy to help them once again, and completed the initial space planning process, created a design and supplied the furniture.
Results
The end result was very much in keeping with the vision LDA had communicated to us from day one: clean, minimalist but undeniably modern. We loved the idea of dark desk tops too, but explained to LDA that they often had a tendency to show unwanted marks like fingerprints, making them difficult to keep clean. To combat this, we supplied them with state-of-the-art nanotech desks.
Their budget didn’t quite stretch to brand-new designer chairs, so we instead supplied them with second-hand Herman Miller Setu items for a fraction of the price.
