The LOF Group has appointed Richard Ford as Commercial Director, signalling a major step forward in the company’s strategic growth plans and expansion into high-value workplace solutions.
Richard joins with over two decades of senior commercial leadership experience in the global technology sector, having held leadership roles across Sales, Technical Services and Managed Services. His career spans the UK & Ireland, Northwest Europe and EMEA, where he has successfully led large, multi-disciplinary teams and delivered sustained revenue growth through scalable go-to-market strategies and partner ecosystems.
His appointment comes at a pivotal point for The LOF Group as the business accelerates its ambition to become a multi-million-pound organisation, expanding beyond its core office interiors offering into integrated workplace solutions.
In his role as Commercial Director, Richard will take ownership of the group’s commercial strategy, with a focus on:
- Driving revenue growth and margin expansion
- Strengthening strategic partnerships and channel development
- Expanding into new markets and service lines
- Building a scalable, high-performance commercial organisation
A key pillar of this strategy will be the launch and rapid scale-up of Shh:d, The LOF Group’s new specialist acoustic brand.
Shh:d has been created to address one of the most critical challenges in today’s workplace: noise and lack of privacy. The brand delivers high-performance acoustic pods and solutions designed to support focus, collaboration, and wellbeing across modern office environments, co-working spaces, and commercial interiors.

Under Richard’s leadership, Shh:d is positioned to become a significant growth engine for the group, tapping into the rapidly increasing demand for flexible, sound-controlled workspaces.
Richard Ford, Commercial Director, said:
“I’m delighted to be joining The LOF Group at such a defining moment in its journey. The business has strong foundations, an excellent reputation, and a clear opportunity to scale.
The launch of Shh:d is particularly exciting — it directly responds to how the modern workplace is evolving. By combining innovation with commercial discipline, we have a real opportunity to build a high-growth, multi-million-pound organisation.”
Nicola Ford, Managing Director, The LOF Group, added:
“Richard’s appointment represents a significant investment in our future. His commercial acumen, leadership experience, and proven track record in scaling businesses make him the ideal person to help drive our next phase of growth.
With Shh:d and our wider strategic plans, we are building a business that is not only growing — but evolving in line with the future of work.”
